Welcome to the history and information page about my website, Kenny's hall of Death. My site is a tribute to the long running animated TV show 'South Park', which you can catch at 10pm every wednesday night on Comedy Central if you live in the US, or at Monday 8:30pm on SBS TV if you live in Australia like me. I opened this site on the 1st of May 1999 as my small fan tribute to the Cartoon. Ever since then, i've continually developed it over time, and as the quality and quality of the content grew, so did the site! :)
-History Timeline
1st May 1999 - Site opens for the first time.
17th May 1999 - Site moves to xoom, new layout introduced.
6th June 1999 - Another new layout introduced.
27th July 1999 - Facelifted version of layout released.
6th October 1999 - Brand new layout, alot of the content is revamped
13th October 1999 - Accepted into the onlytoons network, but never ends up moving due to some varying factors.
27th December 1999 - Site is accepted into the sweeet network, moves to http://kennyshall.sweeetnet.com 2 days later.
21st April 2000 - Site moves to new domain name, starkspond.com
1st May 2000 - Kenny's hall of Death turns 1 year old
3rd May 2000 - Message Board Closed, replaced with gotimmygo.com.
6th May 2000 - First new layout in nearly 8 months is released.
6th October 2000 - Announcement that Sweeetnet will shut down, starkspond.com domain goes down two weeks later.
23rd November 2000 - After almost a month of downtime, the site returnson new host, smoovenet.

http://www.geocities.com/TelevisionCity/Lot/4998/home.htm - Talk about a nice long URL :) This was where the whole thing started, and we were located here from May 1st 1999 to May 16th 1999.
http://members.xoom.com/Kennys_hall - From May 17th 1999 to December 29th 1999, we were hosted on Xoom.com. Not only was the hosting bad, but the address sucked, and if the 'k' was lowercase, you couldn't access it. 7 months on xoom sure did suck.
http://kennyshall.sweeetnet.com - This is when things started to get better. On December 27th 1999, Juz from sweeet.com offered me hosting on the sweeet network, which i was definitely not expecting! I have spent 6 months on sweeetnet now, and i can say that it is a damn good host.
http://www.starkspond.com - On April 21st 1999, the Sweeet Network kindly offered to purchase a domain for this site. Starkspond.com was chosen, and the domain was hooked up to sweeetnet for almost half a year. However, due to the unfortunate closure of sweeet-net, the domain now points to smoovenet webspace.
Q. What the heckadoo is a 'Starkspond'?
For those who don't know, 'Stark's Pond' is South Park's famous local pond. There are references to Stark's Pond in many South Park episodes, and South Park's July 4th fireworks celebrations are held annually there.
Q. What's the deal with the site's name?
Ok, I was a big fan of the show, and like many others I decided to make a South Park site. I'd had a few different names in mind, but I suspected that other sites would've already had their tabs on the names.. so I picked 'Kenny's hall of death' pretty much out of nowhere. It's a bit of a dumb and quirky name, and i've considered changing it, but it's been two years since it opened and i'm kinda stuck with it now. :)
Q. Who hosts this website?
This site is hosted by the cheeky lads over at SmooveNet. At the moment, they're the best damn free hosting network on the internet, which is especially cool, because i'm too lazy and piss-poor to afford paid hosting. The network's sites are located on an extremely reliable Cobalt RaQ4 server running Linux, and the hosting includes support for PHP, MySQL, Perl, and more. Their website is http://www.smoovenet.com.
Q. Could you please send me <insert downloadable> ?
No, sorry. For one, it's alot of extra fuss for no good reason. I know we don't exactly have many downloadables on this website, but i'm not hiding anything extra on my hard drive; everything I have to offer is up on the site somewhere already. For a more extensive range of multimedia, you could always try South Park Media, the Official site, or one of many other cool South Park multimedia websites.
Q. Why is almost everything on this site blue?
Blue kicks serious monkey ass, that goes without saying. Yes, blue is my favourite colour, and I like using blue in my webdesigns (pretty much every design i've made since I started webdesign). I'm sorry if you have a problem with the colour blue, and i'm sorry if you think my use of blue in this site is a deliberate plot to rid you of your sanity.
Q. Can I steal the content from your page to put on my own?
As long as I didn't make it, go right ahead. I do, however, have a problem with people taking content that was made by me, and putting it on their own websites (especially if it's uncredited to this website). If you wish to borrow something from the site for your own, drop me a line at stevo@starkspond.com and i'll see what I can do for you.
Q. Can you make a character do my name in the show?
A bit of a strange question we were asked.. we can't, I don't have a TV show (not yet, anyway). If your referring to South Park, we don't create the show, We are just a fan website. Q. Your website blows serious chunks, why won't you shut it down?
Thanks. Feel free to send me a nice long email on why my site sucks next time you visit, i'm always open to criticism. Or make a better one. Or better yet, just don't visit. If you hate this site or something big about it, then I don't know why you're still coming here. However, freedom of speech is a wonderful thing, and I wont hold anybody's rational opinions against them.
