The Stamp of Approval
The Kenny's hall of Death Stamp of Approval is awarded to toon sites which are a standout from the rest. All of the sites that we award this to would have to be in the top 5% of the world's many websites. Note, although we the award is aimed at SP Sites, any cartoon site is free to apply. The award looks a bit like this:
Great Site, mmmkay!
The 'Great Site, mmmkay!' award is given to toon sites which, although they haven't quite won the stamp of approval yet, we believe they have a very strong future on the web, sporting Mr Mackey saying 'Great Site, mmmkay!' :) Once again, all Cartoon related websites are free to apply. The Award is displayed below:
We will judge all sites who apply through a certain criteria, which will determine whether of not you will win either of the awards. It is listed below:
Design:
Although its not necessarily required, it helps if you have a fresh and attractive layout. The layout must be original. No one wants to see a layout that was copied straight off another site!
Content:
As they say in the trade, Content is King. Most people would rather visit a site with a simple layout and great content than a site with a great layout and bad content. Think, 5 sounds and a few pics does not make for adequate content! Make your content well rounded, also, try to be a little out of the ordinary, take a fresh approach with it!
Navigation:
Its helpful to your visitors if there's an easy way to navigate through all of your pages. Even if you have the best content in the whole world, it's no use if you can't access it! :)
Originality:
If your site isn't original, then it doesn't have the competitive edge over John Doe's South Park Site next door. :) Rather than ripping off other people's character guides and episode guides, give it a go yourself and try writing your own. It also helps if your site has some cool original features or content, stuff that no other site has!
Heart:
If you enjoy working on your site when you get a chance and you update when you can, this can go a long way. Some People just make a website, update for the first few days, and then never update it again, and this site will never be a success. But if you are devoted enough to your site, then it will be successful.
How can I apply for the award?
Easy :) All you have to do is send an email to stevo@sweeetnet.com and tell us your name, website address, adn email address, and we'll get back to you as soon as we can. If you win the award, we'll send you the URL and code for the award you have won. Display it proudly on your page! :)
If you don't win either award, we're sorry. Your site probably needs a bit of work. If you wish, i'll send you an E-mail with some personal tips on how to improve your website, and who knows? You may just be good enough to win the award next time around :)
